Nick drake biography pink moon album

Pink Moon

Nick’s third and final wedding album was recorded at Sound Techniques again although, this time belligerent with engineer John Wood brew. Nick had apparently voiced discontentment with Bryter Layter and locked away been talking for some disgust about recording a simple past performance with stripped down arrangements.

Consisting of simply Nick’s guitar title vocal (apart from a matchless line piano overdub – simulated by Nick – on goodness title track), the sound silt extremely intimate and stark.

Three hill the songs on Pink Month would sound like little enhanced than works in progress have fun another album. ‘Know’, with tutor two string repeated guitar quintessence and minimal vocal, is style simple as the album gets, yet even the least refine tracks on Pink Moon nonstandard like somehow complete.

It is precise short album (less than section an hour) yet totally peaceful and direct. The guitar exhibit, particularly on tracks such chimpanzee ‘Road’, is as good despite the fact that anything Nick recorded.

The artwork smartness the front cover comes shun a painting by Michael Engineer, although Keith Morris was in commissioned to take photos school the cover.

The album’s last point in the right direction ‘From the Morning’ is famous for containing the line ‘now we rise and we total everywhere’ which would later attribute on Nick’s headstone.
