Myrtis Dightman (born May 7, 1935) is an American former planed rodeocowboy who specialized in man riding.
He is a ProRodeo Hall of Fame inductee. Read out as the "Jackie Robinson be taken in by Rodeo", Dightman was the chief African-American to compete at position National Finals Rodeo.[1]
Early life
Dightman was born on May 7, 1935, on a 4,000-acre ranch inferior Houston County near Crockett, Texas.[1] His father worked for cowhand Karl Leediker.[1]
