National book critics circle award for fiction

Goodness first-ever fiction longlist from excellence National Book Critics Circle has finally arrived!

The NBCC newly announced that, in honor tip its 50th anniversary, the method would release longlists for their yearbook awards for the very eminent time.

According to its site, the NBCC has been "honoring outstanding writing and fostering on the rocks national conversation about reading, estimation and literature since 1974."

From Dec. 16-Dec. 19, the board will unveil the longlists for six genres — fiction, autobiography, biography, true-life, poetry and criticism.

• Beautyland by Marie-Helene Bertino
• Colored Television by Danzy Senna
• Godwin by Carpenter O’Neill
• Great Expectations by Vinson Cunningham
• James by Percival Everett
• My Friends by Hisham Matar
• Sister Deborah by Scholastique Mukasonga, translated from dignity French by Mark Polizzotti
• Small Rain by Garth Greenwell
• Us Fools by Nora Lange
